Yinli Takes a Modern Approach to Traditional Chinese Medicine

As interest in holistic wellness continues to grow across the UAE, a new Dubai-based brand is introducing an ancient healing philosophy to a modern audience.

Founded by Karen Heng and Virna Artemas, Yinli is the UAE’s first functional beverage brand inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Designed to bridge centuries-old wellness practices with contemporary lifestyles, the brand offers a range of 100% natural, caffeine-free beverages infused with traditional healing herbs and crafted to support balance, vitality, and overall wellbeing.

Beyond its product offering, Yinli is building a community-driven wellness platform focused on education, experience, and accessible health practices. As part of this mission, the brand is hosting an introductory Ear Seeding session in collaboration with Dr. Jennifer Sadler, a DHA-licensed acupuncturist and certified nutritional practitioner with international clinical experience, including training at Nanjing Hospital of Chinese Medicine.

Taking place at Akari on 19 June, the session will introduce participants to ear seeding, a non-invasive acupressure technique rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The practice involves stimulating specific points on the ear believed to correspond with different areas of the body, supporting relaxation, balance, and overall wellness.

Complementing the experience will be a curated selection of TCM-inspired bites prepared by Cordon Bleu-trained chef Saher Shaikh, founder of The Purple Chef, whose culinary approach incorporates the principles and philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
